A Venetian Copper Sunset

The Ponte della Libertà with its 4km has remained for a long time the longest bridge in the world. Its structure acts as a watershed with regard to water regimes, defining two different environments. The left half (pictured) is characterized by very high water circulation, while in the other half (to the right of the bridge) the water is much more still and stagnant. The Ecosystems quality is deeply connected to the Liberty Bridge and its maintnance, because during the years tons of clams have started making a wall on the bridge's arches.
