Campalto's Salt Marshes

The Barena (Salt Marsh) di Campalto represents a lagoon biotope of great landscape and naturalistic interest. The widespread phenomenon of dismantling of the surfaces of the salt marshes, caused by the wave motion exterminated by the marine engines, which has made the barren environments of the Venice lagoon very fragile, has spared it almost entirely.
This is a very rare place, with a stunning view of Venice in the background!
