Barena's Madness

The sandbanks of Venice are a characteristic ecosystem of the Venetian lagoon with unique features in the world. These are flat and low expanses, where the inflow of water is regulated by the tides that draw narrow and winding canals in a completely natural way - called ghebi.
The sandbanks of Venice are a small corner of paradise, as beautiful as it is fragile, in which a wide variety of animal and plant species find space. The plants that grows are in fact very particular because they have managed to adapt to the salinity of the environment, while at the same time offering a purifying effect for the water.
