From St. Mark Square to Rialto

In a thousand years of history San Marco square has always represented the political, social and religious heart of the Republic.

Leaving the Basilica of Saint Mark, the Palazzo Ducale, the Libreria Marciana, the Campanile and the Clock Tower, this tour winds through alleys, from campo to campo (the many squares of Venice), beside canals and over bridges in the quest of fascinating and little-known corners of the city, but without neglecting more famous places like the Bridge of Sighs and, of course, Rialto Bridge, the most ancient of the bridges over the Grand Canal.
